Multiplication Flashcard Resources:
As I was searching the internet for other tools I came across these flashcard resources that might be of benefit while learning multiplication facts.  It is a great non-computer multiplication practice resource.

Multiplication!!!
Here are some fun little videos to watch with your kiddos as they learn their times tables.  I've shown them in class as well as put the lyrics in their binders.  Have fun! (There are no videos made for 1's and 10's...sorry)

Multiplication Helps:
New help for 6, 7, 8, and 9's using your fingers.  I knew of a different finger trick for the nines and have been teaching it to students.  I do not plan to teach these finger tricks this year because I think it might become more confusing for the students that are already getting these facts, but for those students who have not yet gotten this far, these might be beneficial to teach at home.
As you work on multiplication practice at home, my suggestion is not to follow the "row" of numbers as much as to work on learning some easier facts first, and then moving on.  The following shows a way to chunk the multiplication grid, that makes learning the facts easier and a natural progression.  It is a strategy that I recommend, I hope you find it helpful.

A  Starts by learning the 1-5 times table
B  Then learn the 6-9 (or 10) times 1-5 times table
C  Then work on section C, this should come quickly as all facts are just reverse order as section B
D  Lastly, learn the 6x6 to 9x9 chunk

Then put it all together!
